PDO Threads are dissolvable surgical sutures that we use to physically lift sagging skin. Think of it like a hammock: we insert the threads under the skin to catch the sagging tissue and pull it back up to where it used to be. It provides an instant lift without the cutting or downtime of a facelift.
We insert the thread using a blunt cannula (safer than a needle). The threads have tiny "barbs" or hooks on them. When we pull the thread tight, these barbs grab onto the tissue and lift it. We trim the excess thread, and you walk out lifted. Over the next 6-9 months, the thread dissolves, but your body builds a cylinder of collagen in its place, keeping the skin lifted for up to 18 months.
